FAQs

The design intent of the original golf courses often becomes blurred through the lens of time. Features can be lost completely and members eventually demand for more modern golf standards. In response, golf architects can assist members in the preparation of a golf course master plan to guide course changes over time.

The golf master plan makes recommendations for future design alterations, potential course expansion or consolidation, operational assessment, dues and fees analysis, competitive review, cost projections for implementation, phasing, marketing and growth opportunities, etc. Depending on the course ownership structure, the process can involve a public participatory framework including public meetings, workshops, newsletters, web site feedback and presentation. Our approach is highly collaborative and focuses on building consensus for a long-term vision. The final master plan document becomes a long-term guidebook for the course.
