Resort Planning requires an understanding of consumer demands in the leisure marketplace and how a particular resort can position itself to serve the desired market. These demands are then translated into a physical master plan for resort facilities which can include hotels, second home developments, multi-use resort communities, marinas, spas, golf courses, pools, and other amenities.
Our designers often work with local market specialists and developers to determine the appropriate mix of uses for the resort. This mix is then translated into a development program. Our environmental planning professionals then determine the capability of the land for the given use, how sensitive land can be preserved, and then how the remaining land can be maximized for development. From here, our designers will prepare the resort masterplan including plans, perspectives, cost estimates and phasing strategies. Resort master planning can include planning for new resort facilities, or resort renovations and expansions. |
